Description
Keep the Canon EOS R5 C connected to external power with the Canon DR-E6C DC Coupler. It installs through the camera battery compartment and links the camera to a compatible power source, giving cinema and photo crews a direct power path without a battery occupying the compartment. Canon specifies the DR-E6C for the EOS R5 C and pairs it with the optional CA-946 Compact Power Adapter for external power operation.
External Power for High Resolution Video
The EOS R5 C supports high frame rate 8K 60P RAW recording when external power is supplied. The DR-E6C provides the coupler connection for this type of powered workflow. Its dummy battery form factor fits the camera battery compartment, while the barrel coax connection links to a compatible source. This makes it useful for studio, tripod, rig, and other extended recording setups where a dedicated power connection is preferred.
Up to 27 W Output
The coupler is rated for up to 27 W maximum output, with up to 9 VDC at 3 A. It can be paired with the Canon CA-946 Compact Power Adapter or another compatible professional power source. Matching the power source and connection to the required output helps maintain the intended camera power configuration.
Purpose Built EOS R5 C Accessory
The DR-E6C is a model specific power accessory for the Canon EOS R5 C. It gives photographers and video creators a direct way to route compatible external power into the camera through the battery compartment while keeping the camera ready for cinema capture workflows.
