Description
The Canon EOS R8 Mark II brings full frame image quality, in body stabilization, fast autofocus, and strong hybrid video features into a compact body for photographers and creators who want high end capability without carrying a larger camera system. Its 24.2MP full frame CMOS sensor works with the DIGIC X processor to deliver detailed stills, natural background separation, and a standard ISO range up to 102400 for challenging light.
Stabilized Full Frame Shooting
The EOS R8 Mark II adds 5-axis In-Body Image Stabilization with coordinated correction up to 7.5 stops at the image center. This helps when shooting handheld with slower shutter speeds, non stabilized lenses, or video on the move. Despite the added stabilization system, Canon identifies it as the lightest EOS camera equipped with IBIS.
Fast Tracking for Moving Subjects
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II provides full frame autofocus coverage with subject detection for people, animals, and vehicles. Register People Priority can prioritize selected individuals, while electronic shutter shooting reaches up to 40 fps. Pre-continuous shooting can also capture up to 20 frames before the shutter button is fully pressed, helping with unpredictable action.
Hybrid Video and Modern Workflow
The camera records uncropped 6K oversampled UHD 4K video at up to 60p and Full HD at up to 180p, with Canon Log-3 available through Custom Picture. A vari-angle touchscreen, 2.36 million dot electronic viewfinder, tally lamp, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C connectivity support both conventional photography and modern creator workflows.
