Bring network streaming, digital conversion, source selection, and volume control together with the Fosi Audio S3 Balanced HiFi Streamer. Its compact silver chassis combines a digital transport, AKM based DAC, and preamplifier for use with power amplifiers, active speakers, televisions, and compatible home audio equipment.
High Resolution Digital Playback
The S3 uses an Amlogic A113X streaming platform, an AKM AK4493SEQ DAC, and OPA1612 operational amplifiers in a balanced circuit design. It supports PCM playback up to 32 bit and 384 kHz through supported sources. Fosi Audio specifies total harmonic distortion plus noise as low as 0.00018 percent and a signal to noise ratio up to 120 dB.
Wireless and Network Streaming
Dual band Wi-Fi 6 operates across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, while Bluetooth 5.3 supports SBC and AAC audio. Stream through AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and DLNA, or play music stored on compatible network storage. AirPlay 2 and Google Cast also support synchronized multi-room playback.
Home Audio and Television Integration
Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs connect the S3 to compatible amplifiers or active speakers. The High-Definition Multimedia Interface compatible eARC receives audio from a compatible television, while the dedicated subwoofer output supports a 2.1 system. The Fosi Audio app provides playback control, input and output selection, and a 5 band equalizer for sound adjustment.
A 10 and 100 Mbps Ethernet port provides wired network access, and a 12 volt trigger supports synchronized operation with compatible equipment. The S3 can also receive Roon playback through AirPlay 2 or Google Cast while official Roon Ready certification remains in progress.
