RED Digital Cinema KOMODO Outrigger Handle

Description

The RED Digital Cinema KOMODO Outrigger Handle gives camera operators a low-profile gripping solution with direct recording control. Its ergonomic pistol grip rotates through 360 degrees, letting the operator adjust the handle position to suit different shooting angles and handling preferences. An integrated Record Start/Stop button places recording control directly at the grip for a streamlined handheld workflow.

Adjustable Handling for Camera Operation

The 360-degree adjustable grip supports flexible positioning while helping provide stability during handheld operation. RED specifically describes the handle for workflows where one hand remains on the grip for support and record button access while the other hand is available for lens adjustments or additional camera support. This arrangement can simplify operation when shooting with a compact camera configuration.

Integrated Recording and Accessory Mounting

The handle mounts to the camera Top Handle Port and adds integrated Record Start/Stop control at the operator’s fingertips. Additional 1/4-20 mounting points provide locations for compatible peripheral camera components, helping operators expand a camera setup without giving up the primary handgrip position.

The Outrigger Handle is officially documented for KOMODO and is also listed by RED as compatible with KOMODO-X and V-RAPTOR cameras. On KOMODO, the Link Adaptor occupies the top front mounting location and prevents simultaneous installation of the Outrigger Handle, an important consideration when planning a camera configuration.
