Description

The RED Digital Cinema RED EVF Mount gives camera operators an adjustable mounting solution for positioning a compatible electronic viewfinder around a professional cinema camera setup. RED lists this mount for use across both DSMC2 and DSMC3 systems, giving operators flexibility when configuring an EVF for different camera builds. The integrated top 15mm LWS mounting interface provides the connection point for supported configurations.

Flexible Viewfinder Positioning

The mount provides up to 3.15 inches of positioning range from its most collapsed position to its most extended position. This adjustment helps bring the viewfinder toward the operator rather than forcing the operator to adapt to a fixed viewing position. RED specifically documents support for operators who shoot with their left eye, including configurations where the camera is positioned on the right shoulder.

Support for Multiple RED Camera Systems

RED identifies the EVF Mount as compatible with both DSMC2 and DSMC3 systems. For DSMC2 and RANGER cameras, the mount can be attached using a 15mm LWS mounting interface. The mount can also be rotated for operators using a left shoulder camera position. In that orientation, the EVF image can be flipped through the camera monitoring settings as needed.
