The RED Digital Cinema REDVOLT MICRO-G Battery delivers 98 Wh of rechargeable lithium-ion power in a compact Gold Mount format for mobile cinema workflows. Its 6600 mAh capacity is packed into a body measuring 3.93 inches high, 2.82 inches wide, and 1.94 inches deep, with an approximate weight of 1.2 pounds. The result is a substantial power source that takes up little room on a camera build or in a production case. Developed in partnership with Core SWX, the battery supports users working with Gold Mount and 3-stud power systems.
High Output Power in a Compact Form
The battery provides 14.8 V DC output and supports a maximum load of 12 amps at 14 V DC. A P-tap port supplies 12 V DC, while the USB power port provides 5 V DC at 3 amps for compatible accessories. An integrated LED charge level indicator gives crews a quick way to check battery status before a take, during a setup change, or while preparing gear for transport.
Broad RED Camera Compatibility
REDVOLT MICRO-G supports a wide range of RED camera workflows, including DSMC, DSMC2, RANGER, KOMODO, KOMODO-X, V-RAPTOR, and V-RAPTOR XL configurations. Some camera setups require an additional adapter, battery plate, or I/O module. RED documents V-RAPTOR use with the V-RAPTOR Tactical Top Plate and Gold Mount Battery Adapter, while KOMODO-X use requires the RED Pro Gold Mount I/O Module.
Charging and Operating Range
Recharge the REDVOLT MICRO-G with the RED Compact Dual Gold Mount Charger. The specified operating range is 50 degrees F to 113 degrees F, with charging from 32 degrees F to 104 degrees F and storage from 68 degrees F to 122 degrees F. Its 98 Wh flight-safe capacity and compact dimensions support production travel where output capability and pack size both matter.
