The RED Digital Cinema V-RAPTOR RF to PL Adapter with Electronic ND Filter Pack expands the native RF lens mount for professional PL lens workflows while adding integrated electronic ND control. The adapter lets operators manage exposure without relying on aperture changes, helping preserve the intended depth of field and lens characteristics during changing lighting conditions.

Precise Electronic ND Control

The included electronic ND filter provides a 2 to 7 stop adjustment range with selectable one quarter, one third, or full stop increments. ND can be adjusted using the integrated filter controls or through supported camera and remote control interfaces. This gives camera crews multiple ways to make exposure changes while keeping the camera configured for the needs of the production. A matched clear filter is also supplied for shooting when neutral density is not required.

Professional PL Lens Integration

The shimmable RF to PL adapter uses a titanium core for stability across environmental temperature changes. It supports compatible PL lens communication and record triggering, extending the functionality of the camera while maintaining a dedicated professional lens mount workflow. The clear and electronic ND filters are measured and paired during production to help maintain consistent back focus when switching filters. V-RAPTOR adapter support brackets provide added rigidity when the mount is installed.

The adapter is intended for compatible V-RAPTOR camera bodies and supports the majority of PL lenses, although lenses with unusually deep rear elements require compatibility checking. A clear or electronic ND filter must remain inserted while shooting to maintain correct optical spacing and prevent stray light from entering the sensor cavity.
